Teen filmmaker Yasin Baloch is 19 years talented filmmaker from Lyari. Yasin took filmmaking up as a hobby along with some classmates that quickly turned into an obsession. He came up with an idea of talking about problems around us through filmmaking. A mission which he started when he was in school has got him to some international film festivals too.
While watching his short films. you will not believe that these all are done by a teenager without any proper training. All he did, was a process of self-learning and the result was so awesome.
Yasin is recently doing his FSC in pre-medical from Government College for Men Nazimabad. He intends to get a degree in Media Sciences to polish his talent.
Yasin along with his powerful messages has capabilities for the funny trait too. On his DK Production’s (Dream King) YouTube channel, we can see a mix of short films and memes as well.
Dream is a short film by talented teen filmmaker, with a strong and powerful message of making education possible for the children who otherwise are serving as ‘Chotus’ in different ways. Recently, Dream has made his place in semifinalists in Les Films de la Toile, a short film festival held in Paris.
His another short-length movie ‘Shukr’, with the message of being thankful for what we have got, has been officially selected for Lahore International Children’s Film Festival this year.
He got the hang of filmmaking without any proper training and at a very young age. We hope to witness much more from him in future.
