Pakistani biologist from Lyari neighborhood of Karachi has made all Pakistan proud with his successful discovery of cancer killing mechanism which is capable of treating a wide range of cancers.
Hingoro along with him team at University of Hong Kong revealed that red blood cell’s particles called Extracellular Vesicles have the ability to carry drugs as nanoparticles into the affected body parts.
His research titles “Efficient RNA drug delivery Using Red Blood Cell Extracellular Vesicles” has been published in the latest edition of “Nature Communication”, a world leading science journal.
Hignoro was born and raised in Lyari. He received his bachelors degree in Clinical Laboratory from Z.A. School of Medical Technology, Karachi in 2010. Later he joined Aga Khan University Hospital Karachi where he successfully published a number of research papers.
In 2013, he received the Chinese Government Scholarship for his masters and was later selected at the University of Hong Kong as a Fulbright Ph.D. candidate. Where he carried out his ground breaking study under the supervision of Dr. Minh TN Le.
Recently,he has been awarded the best prize by Guangdong Hong Kong Macau Greater Bay Area Biomedical Sciences Forums among 150 other students across the world.
