Shafqat Mehmood, Pakistan Education Minister, announced closure of all educational institutions from November 26 amid the spike in Corona Cases in Pakistan.
This dicision came on Monday November 23 after various talks around the country. Education ministers of all four provinces presented their recommendations in the meeting.
Mehmood said further that the session shall continue through online class till the winter vacations start from December 25. The winter vacations will ladt till January 10.
Saying about the exams to commence in Decber, he said that all exams will be postponed and will be taken once the classes will resume from January 11.
The new educational year will begin in August 2021, the Minister added.
Further sayin about the promoting process, Minister added that the homework will be used in grading for the same. However Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani said that under no circumstances students will be promoted to next class without examinations. Examinations for grade 9 and 10 will be taken in May and June, he added.
