Burj Khalifa will light up Pakistani Flag on this Pakistan Day

Dubai’s Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building will light up with the colours of Pakistani flag on Friday evening to celebrate Pakistan Day, Pakistan’s 78th Resolution Day. And this will mean something to over 1.2 million Pakistanis living in UAE, with around 400,000 in Dubai only.

The display of Pakistani flag will take place 7:15 pm and 9:15 pm along with the rooftop lights of Dubai Mall turning green.

Flag hoisting ceremonies will be held at the Pakistan Consulate General in Dubai and Pakistan Embassy in Abu Dhabi at 8:30 am

This year, a four-day event titled ‘Shukriya Pakistan’ is to be held at Pakistan Auditorium Dubai. Pakistan’s Ambassador to UAE Moazzam Ahmed Khan will inaugurate the event. This event will include a number of shows and activities mainly the Urdu stage play Mian, Biwi aur Wagah which will be performed from 9 pm to 11 pm.

Comedians Rauf Lala and Asif ‘Mr. Bean’ with their comedic sketches along with singer Nouman Shah’s patriotic song performances will keep the attendees entertained.

The event will end on Sunday, 25th March with a live telecast of the Pakistan Super League (PSL)

Pakistan Day commemorates the passing of Lahore Resolution, under which a separate nation for the Muslims of the British Indian empire demanded by Muslim League was passed on March 23, 1940.
